Meditation - A Primer

I am currently enrolled in Make Art That Sells Bootcamp with Lilla Rogers and this is one of the assignments we had to work on. It goes with an article about how to meditate. I like doing these sequential pieces. This is the second one I have done recently - see my post about Why I Love Paper. This is watercolor and ink on Arches watercolor paper. Namaste.

Something new

"Female Cardinal on a Weeping Cherry Tree"
Acrylic on cardboard
May 2014

Trying something new by painting on cardboard. It's a lot of fun! I think I'll stick with birds and trees for awhile. To check out some of my other work visit www.thestoryshack.com and read the article "Dear Mom." Hope you like the heading art for that story!!

The Great, Big, Stitched Postcard Swap

"Let's Create"
acrylic, collage, and stitching on illustration board
February 2014

Recently I participated in the great, big, stitched postcard swap with Paperlove and Do What You Love! It was sooooo much fun. I received the most beautiful postcard in the mail from my swap partner in Massachusetts. She even illustrated and stitched together the envelope! So creative. And this is the one I sent to her. What fun! I can't wait for the next swap!
