Home Decor Assignment: Design a plate using florals
Things got a bit out of hand this week, but I like the result. Who says a flower can't have a dinosaur and a high heeled shoe growing out of it! This is hand drawn, scanned into the computer, and manipulated with Photoshop and Illustrator. Hope you like it! Onto the children's book market in class next week.
As mentioned a few weeks ago, I am taking an AMAZING online class with Lilla Rogers (artist, art agent, teacher extraordinaire) called Make Art That Sells. This is the first assignment from the class. I never thought I could make something like this! I have already learned so much in this course. This is a combination of watercolor, pen and ink, and Photoshop. I kind of dislike using the computer, but I am really happy with the end result. I guess I should chill and stop complaining about the computer. I hope you like it!
If you live in the Arlington, VA area and you are looking for a good summer read, stop by the Aurora Hills public library near Crystal City! When you enter the lobby you'll see some fun watercolor paintings for kids created by yours truly! Enjoy!!
I just signed up for two 5 week e-classes through Lilla Rogers Studio School. The classes are called "Make Art That Sells" and I cannotwait for them to begin. I just printed all of the introductory information, so now I need to go nerd it up and get ready for class!!! The first session starts in 3 weeks!
